When you’re going for your CISSP cert, you need to ensure you get a passing test score. Regardless of how many years of experience you have in however many domains of the CBK, it won’t matter if you can’t get 700 out of 1,000 points on the exam that you have to take in a proctored atmosphere. You have six hours to answer 250 questions about all eight domains. You will need preparation to pull off a passing score.

An online boot camp can provide you with the training you need in one or all of the domains. But if you aren’t well versed in security operations or access control, you could run into many problems.

This will allow you pace your learning so that it’s convenient for you. You may find that you can study online at work during the day while others need to study at home during the night. When the courses are online, you choose what works for you.

When you enroll for the official exam, you need to be ready for it, otherwise you won’t get the CISSP cert.
